On December 23rd we awoke too a very special early Christmas present here on the farm. One of our pedigree Hereford cows had given birth too her first ever baby! We have 10 pedigree Herefords and all the other 9 had caved back a couple of months ago. We new this cow missed a cycle and was very behind the others. We new she would calve in December but we didn't know when.
Aptly named "Holly" by Dylan this beautiful Heifer calf needed a few days of one on one time with mum to get used to each other and get the hang of drinking. It didn't take long for the penny to drop and they are now both re-introduced to the rest of the herd. She is fighting fit and is very very cute!
